A U.S. credit file is built from reported payment history. Products that publish newcomer-friendly paths include:
- Credit-builder loans — you pay into a locked account; payments get reported; you get the money back at the end.
- Secured cards — deposit-backed cards that report to bureaus.
- Products using alternative data — some providers publish underwriting on income or bank history instead of a credit score.
"No credit check" in published terms means no hard inquiry — it does not mean guaranteed approval. Providers always make the final decision.
